I do not prefer any of the low end home grade units. They have inferior firmware, undersized processors, and are fairly easy to crash. The only thing going for them is they are inexpensive and for the short term they stay that way. Of course, given their short lifetime due to built in obsolescence continual replacement translates to more costly over the long haul but that is not what most home users want to hear.
I suggest you get a gateway wireless router from 3Com or Adtran or Cisco.
